Nolichucky Overnight Trip
The Nolichucky Overnight is a two
day one night smallmouth trip written up as one of the twenty-five best
adventures in the southeast. Featured in Gray’s Sporting Journal,
Sports Afield, and Fly Rod and Reel Magazine, it is a true Appalachian
Angler experience, perfecting 15 years of professional outfitting and
guiding. Simply said, the smallmouth is one of the greatest fresh water
fish you will ever pursue.
The Nolichucky River holds a strong population of Smallmouth Bass, some
fish exceeding four pounds. The river also contains populations of Musky
and Trout. These fish can be taken on fly or light tackle. If you are
interested in enjoying adventure and solitude on a wild river this is
just what you're looking for.
After your first day of smallmouth fishing you can look forward to relaxing
at our deluxe riverside camp with unlimited fishing following dinner.
The cook tent, with dining table and chairs, provides a gathering place
for meals, fly tying, and relaxing. The meals are excellent, consisting
of traditional entrees prepared to your liking. The sleep tents comfortably
accommodate two anglers. Our guests sleep on sturdy aluminum cots with
therma-rest pads. Our campsite also has a designated area private from
the camp with a portable toilet unit.
The trip cost is $550.00 per person, with a minimum requirement of four
anglers. The price includes two days of float fishing and accommodations
in our secluded island camp.
Float trips are limited to eight anglers, with a minimum of four. We
start our float trips at 7:30am on day one and finish at 4:30pm on day
two. Our camp is leased to ensure privacy.
The Holiday Inn in Erwin, 423-743-4100 TN is only 5 minutes from the
put-in for day one and is the most convenient place to stay or meet
us on your trip.
